Last night I watched the film Mio min Mio (Mio in the land of Faraway) based on the novel by Astrid Lindgren. Even though the book was my favourite 20 years ago I had never seen the movie. The story is good so the movie isn’t worthless. It’s far from worthless to be honest. But it leaves me with a big question. Why do Russians make a movie out of a Swedish book with actors from the UK? From what I can understand the film isn’t even released in the UK. The Swedish version is dubbed and you can’t even choose to watch it in English with swedish subs. I also think they could’ve put a little more effort in the DVD production. Otherwise a good movie and one funny thing is that Christian Bale is playing Jum-Jum 🙂
